Promote Urdu language and literature by means of excellent teaching and research.
Make available in Urdu the knowledge of scientific and technological development as well as knowledge of ideas that evolved in the modern context.
Organize conferences/seminars/workshops and literary meets to help local students and teachers as well as those outside the city; to know about the recent developments in Urdu language and literature and other languages and literature. And also they become a platform to interact and exchange ideas.
Become an active member to update the curriculum to give the best education to the students and also to carry on the research on international standards.
Prepare confident and well-equipped students for taking up teaching as well as other jobs in the future and also develop the literary taste of students.
Aims and Objectives
Expose students to literature in Urdu and its richness. And also introduce them to literature of the world in various languages.
Develop and encourage creative writing skills of students so that they become successful in careers like journalism, novel writing and other literary services.
Encourage students to take a Career in Translation of literary/technical works from Urdu into other languages and vice versa.
Enhance creative and critical thinking of students, so that they adapt and prosper in the ever changing global social and cultural environment. Always seeing that Urdu survives and new vocabulary and literary forms are introduced in it, so that it becomes an ever living vibrant language.
